A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a company called Beauty Drops to do a review on a product from their website. The site is fairly new and has a wide selection of beauty products from brands such as Butter London, Inika and Figs & Rouge. As I have been in search of a highlighter I decided to choose the Inika light reflect highlighter creme for review.
From the description Inika is a company described as 100% natural and "completely free from synthetic chemicals and harmful ingredients. Inika believes that women wanting to use natural makeup shouldn't have to compromise on quality, colour or performance."
I was sent a tester product of 8g, which is the same amount of product you will receive as a full size.
This is a gold creme that will suit most skin tones. For reference I am NC30 and this looked gorgeous on my skin. It can be used to highlight cheekbones, cupids bow or the brow bone. I also like to apply a little to the inner corners of my eye to give me the 'wide awake' look. Great for days I've been lacking in sleep!
This can be worn for the daytime (sparingly) or at night mixed in with your moisturiser/foundation for an overall glow. You only need to use the tiniest amount (less than a pea size) so the tube will last a long time.
Conclusion
I will probably save this product for days when my skin is looking dull or for parties. It is easy to blend into the skin and doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feel. It is classed as vegan friendly, halal and cruelty free, so also a plus!
This costs £17, which is probably mid-top range that I would be willing to pay for a highlighter.
