The gypsy skirt is an item of clothing which is versatile and can be worn in different ways. I'm going to be showing you two ways it can be worn for the British summer.
Top Tips
Look Number 1: The biker chick look
This look is girly with that extra edge. A short leather jacket (or in my cause faux leather!) is a must have for every girls wardrobe, especially to wear with skirts/dresses and take you from daytime to evening. I'm on the look out for a black jacket, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)
If you reside in a hot country swap the jacket for a loose cardigan or open shirt.
I've kept the jewellery simple and let the most colourful accessory (my hijab) do all the talking. The hijab will be available from Princess Rockz's new collection next week and is sure to be a best seller!
Look Number 2: My 'summer is here, oh yes it is' look
We British just love to moan about the weather any chance we get, and this post in no exception. What has happened lately ey? There's been flooding in the north of England and monsoon weather in the south. But oh no I won't let that stop me from wearing my brights and donning my flowy skirts!
The long cardigan is from New Look and I have them in most colours. They go with almost everything and are long enough to provide modest coverage-staple must haves!

Top Tips
1)With this type of loose skirt it's important to wear a fitted top so to balance out your proportions.
2) A belt will give you a waist without looking tight (go for a larger size belt for a comfortable fit) It also adds style to the plain skirt without looking fussy.
3) Go for a skirt that has lining underneath. There's nothing worse than seeing your bare legs through the material.
4) If you decide on a plain skirt opt for a patterned hijab, or vice versa if you're wearing a colourful skirt.
5) For peace of mind wear leggings underneath. Gypsy skirts have a tendency to blow up so leggings will keep you covered without making you feel hot.
6) For petite ladies a pair of heels or wedges will add length
7) Gypsy skirts suit girls of all size and shapes- yaay :)

Add some colour with a bonnet cap- and remember it doesn't have to match your outfit! I'll still be styling this hijab even in the winter :o)
Have fun with your jewellery or you can keep it simple.

So those are my tips to wearing a gypsy skirt. Of course you don't have to follow these rules as rules are to be broken right? (oh I'm such a rebel! ;) )
