I'm sure by now you've heard of bb creams, if not then where have you been?? I've always wanted to try one but have found it difficult to get hold of the Asian brands. However, the Western market have cottoned on to this miracle product and made it available for us all. For those that don't know what the term bb stands for, let me explain...
BB is short for Blemish Balm. It was developed in Germany to help heal the skin after laser surgery. There after made popular in Asia because of its skin healing properties. A traditional bb cream contains ingredients to heal and soothe the skin whilst covering any pigmentation and light scars. There will also be a spf of around 20 or more, which over a long period will prevent wrinkles forming.
Now the bb creams that have come onto the western market have been described as nothing more than a tinted moisturiser. Many that I have seen offer an spf of 15 (if that) I really do think that they may be jumping onto the 'bb cream' bandwagon but as it's so difficult to get hold of an Asian bb cream I thought I would try out a few bought from local shops
I'll be giving a review on MUA in a future post. Read the next post for my review on the No7 bb cream I also hope to purchase an Asian bb cream from Ebay perhaps. The only downside to that is that you can't swatch products before :(
