I don't wear mascara often, but when I do I want one that curls and lengthens my lashes. I have tried a few Maybelline mascaras (Great Lash, Define a Lash) as well as L'oreal Million Lashes (which was amazing for thickening and lengthening but flaked like mad!) My sister recommended the Colossal mascara, and being a curious makeup junkie I had to try it.

The mascara is supposed to create up to 7x volume without clumping. On their website they suggest to apply and not let dry in between each coat.

The brush is fat and when applying I often get mascara on my top eyelid (but maybe its because I am clumsy?) The formula certainly thickens my lashes and lengthens them. There is a waterproof formula but I find waterproof mascaras to be lethal on my lashes, as they take an age to remove!
Conclusion
The mascara performs well and doesn't really clump. The wearability is very good, it doesn't flake as some previous mascaras I have tried. After about 4 hours my eyelashes have drooped slightly, but this doesn't bother me as I'm not obsessive with having perfect long lashes. For a more dramatic, evening look I will apply 3 coats and apply my curling technique.
Overall the mascara performs well for everyday. It is easy to remove with my normal cleanser and doesn't take much effort. The price is reasonable compared to other brands (L'oreal/ Benefit)
I think I will try a much cheaper drug store mascara from Natural Collection or Collection 2000, and see how they compare in quality and price.

TIP: After I apply mascara I like to wait until the lashes are almost dry then I use my finger to slightly bend the lashes, to give the extra curl. This is the effect it creates...
