For today's meal I decided to switch up the usual recipe for spaghetti bolognese. I included quorn instead of lamb mince, and wholewheat spaghetti instead of white. No bolognese is complete without a sauce and I decided to use my usual from Dolmio. Some kidney beans were also added to the dish for good measure.
If you're unsure about substituting quorn for mince, let me tell you a short story. A few years back me and my sister made a lasagne from quorn mince and served to my brothers, who are both avid meat eaters. They ate the whole thing and didn't notice at all the difference. Till this day they have no ideas of the deception (lol) and seeing as they don't read the blog they never will, mwhahahaUAHJAHJJAJ!! Sorry I was getting a bit carried away with the evil laughter but you get the point- go healthy, eat quorn!
Today's smoothie is tasty banana and strawberry. No juice, ice or any other ingredients added. The banana adds creaminess to the smoothie without the need for milk or ice cream (healthy is best remember ;) )
Salad is a delicious accompaniment to any meal and helps me to stock up on my vitamins and minerals whilst I was fasting.
