The 4th annual Smoky not Smudgy event was held on Saturday 5th November in London. The event was to raise money for charity whilst hosting a great day out.
There was a souk area full of clothes, hijabs and jewellery, which would have been perfect for last minute Eid shopping. I saw these CUTE cupcake pin cushions and was meant to buy a few as presents but never got around to it- gutted! I'm not sure the name of the company that sold them but it would have made a great gift!
There was also a beauty section for threading, henna, massage and manicures. Plus a hijab styling class which I wanted to attend but arrived late and missed out (Took us ages to find the venue and it was around the corner ha!)
The fashion show was the highlight for me, although I do think it was rather short. There were six designers who showcased their collections- ZnZ Abaya, Nissa Collection, Emma Amoafo, Moroccan Kaftan, Dina Toki-o and Ayeda Couture. My personal favourites were Dina Toki-o and Nisaa Collection, because of the bold prints and bright colours.
For some reason I was shy when meeting Dina and my cheeks hurt a lot (happens when I'm shy and meeting new people) haha I'm sure she thought I was a right weirdo, sorry Dins!
