Over the weekend I went to an Eid Souk held at the Tobacco Docks in East London. The event ran from from 28th-30th October with various food/clothes/hijab stalls.
So as it was the end of October I wrapped up with my thick coat, but you know what it was actually BOILING! Man this British weather doesn't like to make its mind up. Anyway, before making our way to the venue we ventured into central and role played as tourists. Here's a few snaps...
So the main event in Wapping was easy to locate (once we headed in the right direction) I have to say I haven't heard of it until today so was nice to discover a new location.
There were a few companies that I recognised there (Islamic Design House, Emel)

Real bats? Nope fake put on for Halloween, although they had me fooled for a few seconds ;)
I can never get sick of this view!

This ship reminds me of Pirates of a Caribbean
This bracelet is beautiful! I believe its gold plated. I love the detail work on it
These are the two beautiful ladies from Sultanesque. Love how the girl on the left has done her hijab
Close up of the hijab style. Its a necklace they sell, but she's worn it as a head piece. I think it looks stunning against the red hijab.

This company called Bespoke Henna is run by Farrah Azam, who is a henna artist trained by Ash Kumar. How amazing are the henna designs on the candles and vases! Such a clever idea and definitely would make a great Eid gift. I wish I picked up a couple of these candles now for my mum, I know she would have loved them.

This girl was so cute and I loved the face paint so of course had to take a picture!
So that was my day at the Eid Souk, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was a great day out. I didn't purchase much...just a bag of halal sweets which were really yummy, especially the huge cola bottles!
My next day out post will be about the Smoky not Smudgy event on Saturday 5th November, so until then take care!
